Commissioner of Edinet suspended

The police commissioner of Edinet district was suspended from post for the reason that he attacked his deputy, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the Ministry of the Interior, Minister Dorin Recean ordered conducting an internal inquiry. For the period of the inquiry, Commissioner Ion Volontir will not work.
The Ministry said that the incident happened on December 17. The two officials had an argument over the involvement in snow removal works. Being dissatisfied with the work of his deputy, the commissioner hit him.
