The National Commission for Exceptional Situations decided that the property of individuals and families cannot be confiscated during the state of emergency. In its meeting on April 15, the Commission agreed that the lots of Russian vaccine Sputnik-V that were donated by the Russian Federation to Moldova will be exempted from customs duties. In general, 182,000 doses of Sputnik-V vaccine will be brought into Moldova duty-free, acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi, announced after the meeting, being quoted by IPN.
Aureliu Ciocoi said the Commission decided to extend twice the length of the period for examining petitions and complaints, arguing this is a necessary measure when the office program of public servants is reduced.
“We decided to suspend the right to provide one-off awards during the state of emergency. This is an economic measure aimed at saving public funds,” stated the official.
He noted that the National Commission for Exceptional Situations will not introduce new restrictions for citizens for now. This is due to the fact that the number of new cases of COVID-19 has declined.
“We are optimistic, but should remain attentive to the immediate developments so as not to allow a new significant rise in new infections with COVID-19,” stated Aureliu Ciocoi.
