The lawmakers agreed the composition of the special commission for electing the Head of Parliament. The commission includes Vasile Bolea, of the Socialist faction, Tudor Deliu, of the Liberal-Democratic faction, Artur Reshetnicov, of the Communist faction, and Sergiu Sarbu, of the Democratic faction. The Liberal parliamentary group didn’t field a candidate for serving on the commission, IPN reports.

The leader of the Liberal faction Mihai Ghimpu said it’s not clear who forms the parliamentary majority and who is in the opposition, noting that from his viewpoint, the legislative body is not functional. “We do not like this game and do not want to take part in it,” stated the politician.

Afterward, the lawmakers voted again the composition of the commission and confirmed the four members given that a faction refused to put forward a candidate. A break in the Parliament’s sitting was then announced for the special commission to hold a meeting.
