The commission that was to assess the performance of the suspended prosecutor general Alexandr Stoianoglo remained without a head. Lidia Bulgac submitted an application to the Superior Council of Prosecutors, informing about her withdrawal from the commission for family reasons, IPN reports.
Superior Council of Prosecutors member Eduard Varzar said the regulations concerning the work of the commission do not specify the mechanism or procedure for dealing with such an application. Therefore, the Council decided to put off the examination of the issue.
The period of 30 days of the constitution of the commission expired on December 23. In the period, the assessment commission was to present its report. But the commission didn’t even start work. Alexandr Stoianoglo challenged the creation of the commission in the Chisinau Appeals Court and no decision has been yet pronounced.
