Commander put on probation for beating soldier

A former commander of the Cahul-based Motorized Infantry Brigade No. 3 “Dacia” was given three years' probation for punching and kicking a soldier. Legal action was taken on the basis of an application filed by the Cahul Military Prosecutor's Office, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Prosecutor General's Office. The group commander overturned the bed of the soldier while he was sleeping and then kicked and punched him. In several days, the same commander beat the soldier again, causing him bodily injuries. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
