Columna St to be extensively repaired

The Chisinau street Columna will be repaired fully. The repair works
will start in at most 45 days. Acting mayor Nistor Grozavu announced
that the tender contest was won not by IM “Edilitate” (which repaired
Alba Iulia St – e.n.), Info-Prim Neo reports.
“It is for the first time that a Chisinau street will be completely
repaired by a company that does not belong to the municipality. The
company has modern equipment. Until now, it repaired only sections of
street,” said Nistor Grozavu.
Under the law, the works start after the results of the tender contest
are published. The procedure lasts for two weeks to 45 days.
“We are examining the possibility of working in two directions – from
Ismail St to Mihai Viteazul St and in the opposite direction. Only a
part of the street will be closed at both ends so as not to hinder
traffic in the area,” said Nistor Grozavu.
The local authorities plan to fully repair ten streets this year,
including Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Blvd., Grigore Vieru Blvd. and Vadul
lui Voda St.
