The places available at colleges and centers of excellence (CE) were 84% occupied. After the first stage of the admission session of July 18 – August 5, eight of the 44 institutions fully filled the places of study for the 2016-2017 academic year, IPN reports.
The eight institutions are: CE Informatics and Information Technology, CE Food Services and Processing, the National College of Trade, the Technical Railway College of Balti, the Technical Agricultural College of Svetlyi, the Music and Pedagogy College of Balti and the National Border Police College.
The most popular specialties are those from such sectors as IT, Medicine, Car Industry and Finance.
The largest number of places, mainly those intended for lyceum graduates, remained unoccupied at the Technical College of the Technical University, CE Transports and the Polytechnic College of Balti.
The second stage of the admission session is held during August 9-12. The final results were made public by August 15.
