An electronics college financed by the Austrian Government will be opened in Moldova. The works to erect the building will start at the beginning of 2024, Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun stated in a news conference where he presented the most important accomplishments of the Ministry’s team during the first 100 days in office and the priorities for the immediate period, IPN reports.
Dan Perciun said that such an agreement was reached in a meeting with his Austrian counterpart in Vienna. “This is good news as the access to high-quality studies, including in the Republic of Moldova, is very important and the Austrians come with a lot of skills and capacities. The studies will be in German and the diploma will be recognized at European level,” stated the minister.
The new institution will offer professional-technical training programs in accordance with the Austrian standards.
In the meeting, the two ministers signed a letter of intent for extending the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova and the Federal Ministry of Education, Sciences and Research of Austria. The document envisions the extension of cooperation in education and professional formation through joint projects that will contribute to economic growth in the two countries.
