Col. Domenic appointed National Army chief

Colonel Iurie Domenic has been appointed Head of the National Army's General Staff, under a draft presidential decree approved today by the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Defense Minister Vitalie Marinuta, Col. Iurie Domenic is a graduate from the Odessa Military School and the US Army Command and General Staff College, and has held different command and general staff posts in his career. In a separate Government decision, journalist Ion Terguta was confirmed to the post of director of the Moldovan subsidiary of the television network MIR after serving as caretaker.
