Code Yellow: thunderstorms

The National Weather Service issued a Code Yellow alert for thunderstorms on June 25 evening and night, until early in the morning of June 26, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The first deputy director of the National Weather Service Elina Plesca said that the alert referred mostly for the following night, but did not rule out that the storm could hit the north of Moldova as early as this evening. “The alert is available for all of Moldova, although the phenomenon will reach maximum intensity in the northern part of the country”, informed Elina Plesca.
The service forecasts short rainfalls with lightning and isolated storms with wind-bursts of 15-18 m/s. At night, the temperatures will reach between 16 and 21 degrees Celsius.
