Cobweb in education system does not allow efficiently managing sector, Dorin Chirtoaca

A cobweb was created in the education system in Chisinau that does not allow efficiently managing this sector, Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca said. According to him, large sums of money are invested in the repair of schools, but the results do not meet the expectations, Info-Prim Neo reports. The mayor said that the same buildings are included in the yearly lists of institutions that will undergo repairs, with many of them nor drawing up business plans. “Many of the companies that want to provide services for education institutions are banned access to the business plan for different excuses. As a result, the same economic entity takes part in all the tender contests,” Dorin Chirtoaca said. The mayor said that he does not trust the way in which the money for the repair for education institutions is distributed. He considers that exact sums should be allotted from the municipal budget for every institution so as to prevent the inefficient use of the money. This year, the education sector accounts for 40.7% of the municipal budget. 10% of the money was earmarked for feeding children.
