The chairman of the National Financial Market Commission Mihail Cibotaru interrupted his leave in order to offer his resignation, the head of the institution’s press office Boris Erushevski confirmed for Info-Prim Neo. Mihail Cibotaru went on leave two weeks ago. His job was done by the Commission’s deputy chairman Victor Captari, who will most probably be named acting chairman. “Mihail Cibotaru wrote the resignation this morning (October 17) and sent it to Parliament,” said Boris Erushevski. Last week, Prime Minister Vlad Filat demanded that Mihai Cibotaru be discharged because he showed lack of professionalism in managing the situation following the raider attacks on banking institutions.
