Since the beginning of 2019, the National Social Insurance Agency (CNAS) has noticed that more than a 100 beneficiaries who receive pensions based on bilateral social security agreements have not submitted their Life Certificates, IPN reports.

CNAS urges these beneficiaries to present the Life Certificate as soon as possible. In order to receive their pensions and to enjoy their other rights provided by the social insurance system, these people have to present a Life Certificate to CNAS every year before December 31.

This document confirms that the person is alive and allows CNAS to continue paying the pension for the duration of the next year. The Life Certificate is signed in the presence of the beneficiary by the responsible institution of the other party.

The failure to submit the paper will lead to the payment of the pension being suspended from January 1, 2020 until CNAS receives the certificate.

The information is addressed to beneficiaries of pensions based on bilateral social security agreements signed by Moldova with 12 other European countries: Bulgaria, Portugalia, Romania, Luxembourg, Estonia, Czechia, Austria, Belgia, Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Germany. At the moment, there about 540 such beneficiaries.

The Life Certificate form can be downloaded from the CNAS website.
