As from May 2, the patients with primary cancer will be registered for high-performance medical services by the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM). The institution noted the decision was taken in order to facilitate the patients’ access to such services and to avoid particular irregularities in the future, IPN reports.
The Oncological Institute will daily present to the CNAM, by email, the referrals to high-performance medical services and the report generated by the information system “Reporting and Recording of Medical Services”, about the patients registered for such services.
The CNAM will check the compliance of the medical prescriptions presented by the Oncological Institute and will program high-performance medical services through the information system, depending on the availability of slots generated by the providers of high-performance medical services. It will also inform the patient about the date and hour of the planned examination and will compile a weekly report on the registration of such patients from the list presented by the Oncological Institute.
The registration by the CNAM of the patients with primary cancer through the agency of the information system “Reporting and Recording of Medical Services” will be performed on a trial basis during May-September 2023.
