The Chisinau councilors will come together for an extraordinary meeting today. This will be the third attempt to hold a meeting in the last two weeks. The previous meetings did not take place as the quorum was not present. The first meeting was boycotted by the councilors of the factions of the PCRM and PPCD, while the second – by the Liberal factions, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The agenda of today’s meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) includes more than 100 draft decisions. 51 out of them concern the privatization of adjacent lands, several tens of draft decisions – the lease of the public patrimony and 9 draft decisions contain amendments to the previous decisions.
The councilors that entered the Parliament - Alexandru Tanase (PLDM), Mihai Ghimpu, Vadim Cojocaru, Corina Fusu, Gheorghe Brega and Ion Ciobanu (PL) - are today to tender their MP permits. Also, the CMC is to approve the activity regulations of the General Social Assistance Division and modify the municipal budget for 2009.
Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca will insist on the inclusion in the agenda of five issues concerning the financial situation of the capital city and solutions to overcome the crisis, the critical satiations of Apa-Canal Chisinau, the Urban Bus Company and the Trolleybus Company, and the information about the granting of the construction authorization and urbanism certificate to the Ministry of Construction and Territorial Development for reconstructing the Parliament’s building.
For the quorum to be present, at least 26 out of the 51 municipal councilors must attend the meeting.
