CMC to discuss issue of municipal public transportation tariffs on Thursday

The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) will discuss on Thursday, 20 July, the item regarding the increase of tariffs to municipal passenger transportation, due to fact that at the previous meetings it has approved the Public Transport Development Strategy and Tariff Settlement Procedure. According to the meeting’s agenda, the councilors will examine the allocation of the land for reconstruction on Pan Halippa Street and establishment of the multifunctional sports venue “The Central Stadium”, as well as the regulations and the structure of many municipal departments. CMC will also approve the Regulation on Creating and Using the special means in the municipal education institutions; the Municipal Action Plan „Disabled Children” 2006-2007; Municipal program on Fighting Diabetes „MoldDiab” 2006-2010. CMC is to examine as well the revising of the Chisinau municipality budget and the correlation of the indicators of the local budget in 2006, as well as items regarding the allocation of resources for covering the expenses of the organizer of the land auction held on 21 April; canceling some historic debts, included in the object of the agreement - memorandum, of the enterprises that implement the restructuring plans; allocating resources necessary for accommodating the delegations invited on Chisinau City’s Day (12-15 October) etc. Tomorrow as well, the councilors will discuss the Regulation on the procedure and conditions of allowing the utilization of the local symbols and the official or historical name of Chisinau City in naming enterprises and services; and authorizing the use of local symbols. CMC meeting’s agenda includes 42 items, including land items. The meeting of the Municipal Council begins at 10:00 AM on Thursday.
