CMC may confirm modification of tariffs on water and sewerage

There are two items related to the economic situation of “Apa – Canal Chisinau” JSC on the agenda of the Chisinau Municipal Council’s meeting, announced for Thursday November 2. The experts do not exclude that after their examination CMC could approve a new tariff on water and sewerage instead of the present one of 2.62 lei. On the eve, general director of the Company Constantin Becciev told Info-Prim Neo that the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) has presented the Chisinau Municipal Council calculations that certify a factual tariff for water of 8.73 lei. Becciev says that such a tariff was calculated by ANRE one year ago, but the reexamination of the tariffs was postponed because the new calculations were not coordinated, according to the provisions of the legislation in force, with the Agency for Constructions and Territorial Development. Next items on the Thursday meeting’s agenda are the exemption from bank interest of the persons employed in the budgetary system that construct/purchase residences applying for a mortgage, preparation of the communal administration in Chisinau for the heating season 2006 – 2007, the issuance of letters of guarantee for granting preferential credits to certain categories of people, etc. It is also expected that local authorities vote a draft decision regarding the designing and renovation of Izmail street, from Alexei Mateevici to 31 August street, and to approve the modifications to municipal personal establishment proposed by the general interim mayor Vasile Ursu. Twelve items are included in all in the agenda of the CMC meeting.
