The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) debated at the Thursday meeting, June 6, the issue of reorganizing the Municipal enterprise “Buciumul”. Because not even after 4 hours of discussions no common point of view was reached, the councilor will debate again this problem on the next Thursday.
Initially, the councilor of “Moldova Noastra” Alliance, Oleg Cernei proposed to examine again the mentioned-above issue at the next meeting because both the draft decision on the reorganization of “Buciumul” and the report of Tudor Tataru, the head of the enterprise were missing. Tataru, after a series of contradictory debates, declared that he did not know about the examination of this issue and was preparing for the meeting on the next Thursday.
The report on the reorganization of Buciumul should have been examined back in July 2005 and had to be read not by Tataru, but by the chief General of the General Department for Culture, Iulian Filip. Because during 1 year no one presented the report, neither the new statute of the enterprise, the majority of the communists proposed to dismiss both Tataru and Iulian Filip, justifying that they did not honor their obligations.
About Tataru was said that despite the fact that he is a talented artist he is not good enough as manager of this enterprise. Several councilors, inclusively the independent councilor Igor Crapivca, businessman, mentioned that Tataru is not a good manager of the municipal enterprise and “does not want to learn how to become one”. He also said, having the same opinion as Oleg Cernei, that at the enterprise a series of public money speculations were found out, for which someone must be responsible. According to Crapivca, 1.5 million lei were allocated from the state budget for the repairing of some constructions that are registered under the name of Tataru, mentioning that because of the irresponsibility of Mayoralty’s structures, public money were invested in the proprieties of Tataru.
Oleg Cernei was unpleased with the interference in the affairs of municipal enterprises of the head of state. Cernei states, “it seems that the president gave to Tataru this position for life”. According to him, the Municipal Council is not obliged to approve expenses from the municipal budget because to fit the president’s ambitions.
Several councilors solicited to transfer the issue on the dismissal of Tataru and Filip on the agenda of the next meeting, proposal that was rejected by the communists’ faction, who insisted to examine the issue at the Thursday meeting. As a consequence, the councilors of “Moldova Noastra” Alliance solicited a pause until next Tuesday when CMC will continue the meeting.
