CMC announces vacancy of a municipal councillor’s mandate

The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) decided Tuesday, December 26, on the dismissal of Eugenia Bulat and subsequently on the vacancy of a councillor’s mandate on the list of the Christian Democratic People’s Party. Councillor Eugenia Bulat declined her councillorship and membership in the party in response to what she called “antidemocratic tricks” used when CMC decided to auction off “Antena C” and “Euro TV” media institutions on December 14, 2006. The following on the list of the Christian democrats in CMC is Iulian Condur, who earlier held the position of vice chairman of “Young Generation”, and then was excluded from PPCD. After Eugenia Bulat has left, PPCD party remained with 5 councillors out of 8.
