CMC allotted additional 3.5 million lei for Urban Bus Company

Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) approved additional allocation for Urban Bus Company (PUA) of 3,5 million lei. According to PUA management, this 3.5 million lei shall be allotted to the enterprise in the last quarter of last year 2005 for covering the accumulated debts as a result of the increase of the price to petroleum as well as after purchasing the tyres and spares. Municipal counsellors were very satisfied with PUA activity, questioning the problem of enterprise privatisation. They required to present an action plan regarding transport development and required that enterprise management cooperate with cu CMC. This year, it was foreseen 30 million lei for PUA, this, according to some calculations, covering less than 50% of expenses. PUA operates 190 buses, and 152 are working.
