Claudia Partole presents book about peace for children

Claudia Partole has launched a new book for children titled “Flower of Love, which reveals a better world that is a world of peace, Info-Prim Neo reports. During the launch held at the National Children’s Library “Ion Creanga” on Monday, the author said that after she started writing she understood that it is more difficult to write about peace for children than about other themes. The précis of the book was presented recently during the International Children’s Book Festival in South Korea, where the volume was highly appreciated. The book translated into Korean will soon appear in Moldova. The head of “Ion Creanga” Library Claudia Balaban said this book should be presented in all the children’s education institutions. She stated she would like the collection “Stories about Peace” that contains the abridged works of the 23 delegations that took part in the Festival in South Korea, including Claudia Partole, to be printed in Romanian. The book “Flower of Love” was launched as part of the Week of Knowledge that includes activities aimed at promoting reading. It is held by the National Children’s Library “Ion Creanga” during October 25-29, 2010. “Flower of Love” won the Diploma of Honor of the International Board on Books for Young People.
