The Civil Society Congress will inform the Prosecutor General’s Office about the employees of the Chisinau City Hall who prevent the implementation of court decisions, the Congress’ chairman Fiodor Ghelici announced in a news conference, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Fiodor Ghelici related a case involving an economic entity. The company purchased a building and registered it with the Cadastre Office, but needs the approval of the Chisinau Municipal Council to buy the adjoining land. Besides the about 3 million lei that the company paid legally, it was told to pay another 270,000 lei if it wanted the problem to be ‘solved’ quickly, said Fiodor Ghelici. “There are court decisions that oblige the municipal institutions to give this right to the economic entity. I personally discussed with Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca. He assured me that the issue will be resolved. Unfortunately, the City Hall does not obey the mayor, but the head of the Legal Division Diana Gurschi, who decides what to do with the court decisions. You can have dozens of court decisions, but the City Hall officials do not implement them. The chairman of the Chisinau Council Ghenadie Dumanschi includes only matters that suit him in the agenda of the Council’s meetings,” said Fiodor Ghelici. He also said that Dorin Chirtoaca does not have chances of winning the mayoral elections the second time. “The parties of the ruling alliance did not field a suitable candidate, while Igor Dodon’s chances of becoming a mayor grow,” Fiodor Ghelici said. The chairman of the Civil Society Congress is skeptical about Dorin Chirtoaca’ s success and promises to give the Liberal leader Mihai Ghimpu several bottles of wine of a high quality if Chirtoaca wins the elections. Fiodor Ghelici is running for the post of Chisinau councilor as an independent candidate.
