Leaders of ten civil society organizations called upon the political parties that entered Parliament to conduct negotiations on the formation of the government coalition on the basis of the previous commitments to come closer to the EU and the progress made until present, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a public call, the NGOs say they are deeply concerned about the insufficient flexibility and clear-sightedness of the political players involved in the talks. “By such behavior, the political parties taking part in the talks fuel uncertainty in society and people's concerns about the chances of forming a government alliance that would take into account the values and principles for which most of the people voted in the November 28 elections,” the NGOs said. The civil society organizations urge the the political players to ensure coherence between the pre-electoral promises and the post-electoral actions, respect people's wishes and to hold the talks on the formation of the government alliance in a transparent and constructive way, based on responsibility, confidence and openness. The ten NGOs are: “Promo-Lex” Association, the Association of Independent Press, the Independent Journalism Center, the National Youth Council of Moldova, Contact Center, the Partnership for Development Center, the Association of Electronic Press, East Europe Foundation, “Memoria” Center, and “Acces-info” Center.
