The prospect of Moldova’s approaching to EU will lead to the existence of a free circulation of goods between the two sides even before the accession. This statement was made by Ion Galea, director of the EU law Division of Romania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the seminar “Harmonisation of the national legislation with the Community Acquis in the field of free circulation of goods”, organised on Friday, February 9, by the Agency for the Support of Legal Education and Law Enforcement Bodies “EX LEGE”.
As the expert says, if an agreement on regulation of trade liberalisation would be concluded in the future, the free circulation of goods would be applied from that moment, and that is why the information is necessary as from now. The free circulation of goods is a very complex problem. Almost 70% of EU legislation refers to the free circulation of goods, and at the same time represents the essence of the EU law, Galea stated.
Head of “EX LEGE” Agency Valeriu Zubco stated that the seminar aims at improving the professional level of Civil servants with a view to adjusting the national legislation on free circulation of goods to the Community Acquis.
The seminar is part of the project “Provision of Information Support to specialised central public authorities with a view to harmonising the legislation with the Community Acquis”, which is carried out from August 2006 to March 2009. The project intends to organise a number of 20 seminars for training civil servants.
