Civil servant with forged university diploma

The Chisinau City Hall will send the documents of the deputy head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Gheorghe Suceveanu to the Prosecutor’s Office as he presented a forged university diploma when he was hired. In Monday’s meeting of the City Hall, Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said that a year ago he would have suggested Gheorghe Suceveanu to tell the truth. The institution from which Gheorghe Suceveanu graduated, according to his documents, did not have such students, the mayor stressed. “It’s up to everyone to decide whether to have studies or not, but there are certain conditions that must be met when applying for a job,” Dorin Chirtoaca said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Gheorghe Suceveanu’s post is closely connected with holding of tender contests for carrying out repair works in education establishments. Dorin Chirtoaca advised other servants who are in a similar situation to confess it before the City Hall makes approaches to education institutions.
