The Civic Congress Common Action Party that was recently registered by the Public Services Agency calls on the politicians, civil activists, citizens who are not indifferent to promote a correct, open and consistent campaign in favor of snap parliamentary elections. A statement to this effect was adopted in a meeting of the party’s National Council last weekend, IPN reports.

According to the statement, the Parliament chosen on February 25, 2019 showed that it is fully unable to become an anti-crisis center, a place where a fundamentally new agenda of the day is formed to ensure the country’s economic survival, the salvation of the people.

“This Parliament was unable to profit from the results of the political will shown by Russia, the European Union and the United States for freeing the country from the regime of the personal power of oligarch Plahotniuc. The Parliament turned out to be a collection of powerless theoreticians without will, who cannot stage a decisive struggle against bandits’ clans in the economy, the justice sector, the police and the customs service. On the contrary, by creating a new majority, the Parliament restored the influence of the Democratic Party that seemed to have been shaking, strengthened the system of oligarchic government, but with another chief already – Igor Dodon. This Parliament formed according to the rules of the joint system of Plahotniuc and could not be different. It was invented exclusively for ensuring the security of the ruling elite, not for the people, but against the majority of people,” reads the document.

In this connection, the Civic Congress Common Action Party calls on the politicians, civil activists, citizens who are not indifferent to promote a correct, open and consistent campaign in favor of snap parliamentary elections.

“The country does not need a legislative body consisting of Plahotniuc-promoted appointees who build socialism for themselves and wild capitalism for the majority. The country needs decent elected officials who can change the abusive and unjust sentence against the Republic of Moldova in the most difficult moment of our history,” said the party.
