Civic Coalition for Free and Fair Elections warns authorities elections must be free and fair

The Civic Coalition for Free and Fair Elections calls upon the Moldovan authorities to take the steps needed to efficiently organize the elections set to take place in autumn, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Coalition urges adopting the amendments to the Electoral Code in second reading in compliance with the recommendations made by the Venice Commission and Coalition 2009, ensuring appropriate voting conditions abroad and accurately compiling the electoral rolls. In a press release, the Coalition says the authorities are obliged to make sure that the elections are free and fair, while the political parties, the mass media and the civil society can essentially contribute to this process in a democratic manner.
