The interim Mayor of Chisinau, Vasile Ursu declared that price for one square meter for young families will be of USD 310-330. The beneficiaries will pay initially, at the moment the construction starts, only 30% of the total price of the apartment. The rest of the payments will be spread out for a period of 15 years. At the same time, the employees of the budgetary sphere will be exempted from paying the bank interest of 8%. These expenses will be paid from the local budget.
Ursu said that the Municipal Mortgage Agency “is trusted by the population”.
This week, AMIC offered keys to 93 families in Chisinau for new apartments built through the method of mortgage crediting.
The director of the Agency, Petru Pripa states that the demand for the mortgage dwellings exceeds the offer due to the fact that the prices offered by AMIC are by 20-25% lower comparing with other construction companies.
Since 1999, the Municipal Mortgage Agency AMIC erected 17 apartment blocks built through the method of mortgage crediting.
