City Hall resumes the tradition to organise Agricultural Fairs

The Agricultural producers from the towns, communes and villages included in the composition of the municipality of Chisinau will have the possibility to sell starting July 1 2007, vegetal production in booths or directly from trucks and trails on the territories of Fairs organised in all those 5 districts of Chisinau. The City Hall allowed the farmers to sell their goods without obtaining authorisations. The Centre of preventive medicine will verify the sanitary and hygienic situation. At the same time, the Agriculture and Food Department will verify if the agricultural production is fresh and qualitative, directly picked from the field.
Under an ordinance issued by the local authorities, the fairs will be located on the following streets:
In Centru District: in the markets located on Hancesti Street, 60/1 and Calea Basarabiei, 8, as well as at the crossroads of Ismail Street 98 with Cantemir Boulevard, Gh. Asachi Street with Grenoble Street, and Testimiteanu with Constantin Varnav Street.
In Botanica District: Muncesti Street 170, 402 and 800, Sarmisegetusa 35, Independentei Street, near “Toamna de Aur” Marketplace, crossroad of Traian Boulevard and Grenoble Street and Airport District.
Rascani District: Socoleni Street, crossroad of Albisoara Street and Zaikin, Ismail Street, Ceucari Street, Calea Orheiului Street 105, crossroad of Putnei Street and Vasile Badiu, Dimo Street 17/2, 17/3, A. Saharov Street, Doina Street, Tudor Vladimirescu Street, D. Cantemir Boulevard, Calea Orheiului Street, Iazului Street.
Ciocana District: Mihail Sadoveanu Street – Igor Vieru Street, Igor Vieru Street, crossroad of Milescu-Spataru and Zadnipru Street, Maria Dragan, crossroad of Zadnipru Street with Mihail Sadoveanu Street, Ginta Latina Street, Uzinelor Street, Voluntarilor Street, Vadul lui Voda Street, Al. Russo Street.
Buiucani District: L. Deleanu Street, crossroad of A. Milano Street and Calea Iesilor, Ion Pelivan Street, Calea Iesilor 55, Alba Iulia 206, Ioana Radu Street.
Agricultural Fairs will be held until November.
The organisation of Agricultural fairs, where farmers can sell their goods without special authorisations and without paying taxes for the place was introduced by the local administration headed by Serafim Urecheanu. Later, after Vasile Ursu took upon the office, this practice was stopped.
