City Hall of Chisinau accused of sabotaging activity of “Agurdino” company

The public organization “Moldova mea” (“My Moldova”) accuses the City Hall of the Municipality of Chisinau that it sabotages the activity of “Agurdino” company because it does not issue a certificate which is necessary when taking a loan from the bank. The chairman of the Association, Fiodor Ghelici, declared on Monday, November 27 at a press conference that such a certificate is pure formality and should be issued within 5 days. However, the issuance of this certificate is delayed, according to Ghelici, for more than 3 weeks. The document must prove that the City Hall has nothing against the fact that the economic agent will pledge a part of its own assets, the cited source mentioned. Ghelici says that at the end of last week he went together with representatives of “Agurdino” company to the head of the Land Department, Nicolae Craciu. According to the cited source, besides the fact that the civil servant was 3 hours late and had an arrogant attitude, declaring that he does not have time to listen the representatives of the enterprise, he said that he will give a written answer regarding the delay of the certificate’s issuance. More, the director of the enterprise, Iuri Bogdanov was sent by Craciun “to seek his justice in Russia”, Ghelici said. At the beginning of the conference, Ghelici declared that the Russian investors are discriminated in Moldova because of the tensed relations between Chisinau and Moscow, and in the end he mentioned about the corruption from the City Hall. According to Ghelici, after the reform of City Hall’s personnel, the bribe one has to give to the civil servants is higher. He says that the authorities must respect the provisions of the legislation in order to prove that the investment climate is favorable. According to him, authorities must be especially indulgent with the Russian investors if they want to improve the relations with Russia. At the same time, Ghelici considers that President Vladimir Voronin will solve the problem of “Agurdino”, because he has recently appointed a special commission for the settlement of the problems the enterprise confronts with.
