The official launch at international level of the citizenship by investment program will take place at the start of this November in Dubai City, where a Global Citizen Forum will be held, secretary of state at the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure Vitalie Iurcu stated in the program “Issue of the day” on Canal 2 channel, IPN reports.
“The major goal of the program is to attract potential investors who are interested in obtaining Moldovan nationality, especially those who would like to carry out activities in our country. The second objective is to attract the investments brought by these persons. Furthermore, the program will be a platform for promoting the Republic of Moldova as a country to invest in,” stated Vitalie Iurcu.
Economic expert Roman Chirca said the Republic of Moldova will implement such a program with delay. Similar programs exist in many states. For the program to be implemented successfully, the economic climate in Moldova should be improved and the fiscal policy should be made attractive. “I think this program will be put into practice and we will have a growth in foreign direct investment that cannot be anticipated, but this does not mean that the Government will not have to implement policies to stimulate economic growth and improve the investment climate,” stated the expert.
On July 11, there was signed the contract for the provision of public services for designing, implementing and internationally promoting the citizenship by investment program.
