The insured persons can make appointments online for high-performance healthcare services through the agency of an information system that was recently put into operation all over the country by the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM). The citizens can choose by themselves the service provider. The system was piloted earlier and is fully viable, IPN reports, quoting the CNAM.

The given services should be prescribed by a doctor, while the person to whom such services are indicated must follow several steps by accessing the Information Medical Services Reporting and Recording System. The same steps can be followed when accessing the banner “Online scheduling of appointments for high-performance healthcare services” on the website of the CNAM.

In the case of persons who do not use a computer, the appointment will be made by the doctor who issued the referral certificate or through the Call Center INFO CNAM on 0 800 99999.

The list of high-performance healthcare services incorporated into the system includes functional diagnosis services, medical imaging tests, radio-diagnostic examinations, diagnostic endoscopy etc.

The system can be accessed from the computer or from any device that is connected to the Internet, without needing to install additional programs or applications. The database will be updated regularly. The stored information will also be used to compile analysis reports.
