Cioresti authorities to bring artificial snow cannons to village

The skiing track in Cioresti village of Nisporeni district will be modernized following the attraction of hundreds of tourists and visitors from all over the country in the recent past. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, mayor of Cioresti Valeriu Gutu said the track will be renovated and modernized according to European norms. “We are working on projects to create optimal conditions for developing tourism in our community,” said Valeriu Gutu. According to him, the track may be opened for a longer period in the future so that the tourists can use it from November until March. Therefore, the authorities intend to bring artificial snow cannons, or snowmaking machines, to the village. “Our community is proud of its sights, but they must be modernized so that they attract tourists and investors,” said Valeriu Gutu. In summer, the place where the track is situated is used for extreme sports, including parachuting. A modernization plan has been worked out for the purpose. The idea of making a skiing track in the village was put forward by several local young people, who started to lease out equipment needed for skiing. Tourists began to come to the village to see and use the track.
