Cigar fatal for man from Balti

A 55-year-old man from Balti town died on Tuesday, February 17, in his flat which caught fire from a cigar left alight. The burnt body of the owner of the apartment situated on Cehov steeet, 31 was found by firemen among the goods which burned to ashes, Liliana Puscasu, the press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergency Service has told Info-Prim Neo.
According to statistics, 290 fires, in which 52 persons died, have happened in Moldova since the beginning of this year. In Chisinau 77 fires occurred, in which 5 persons died.
