Sales clerk Olga Viziru said the week started favorably as they sold all the 70 Craciunei on Monday morning. “Many people ask if we have Christmas twisted rolls. We tell them there is none left and that a new batch will come in several hours. We informed the suppliers that these bread rolls are in demand and we hope there will be enough of them on the shelves,” said Olga Viziru. The seller also said that during the last few years the twisted bread rolls have been in demand mainly before January 7, when it is celebrated Christmas according to the old Julian Calendar. “It is three days before Christmas, but we have already sold all the Christmas twisted rolls available in our store. On December 25, the people came to buy such rolls on the last day. But we sold them all then too,” she said. A Christmas twisted bread roll costs between 4 lei and 25 lei, depending on the size.
