No Christmas tree has been cut down illicitly in Nisporeni, during winter holidays, the ecologic inspector, Gheorghe Lupu asserts, on radio Vocea Basarabiei, cited by Info-Prim Neo. According to the cited source, the Ecologic Inspection, together with the representatives of the raion police and the employers of the Forest Service in Nisporeni, organise regular raids aiming at controling and countering poaching, of the illicit cut of trees. At the same time, the cited source asserts that the trees from the forest strips and even fruit trees are being cut. The main cause of illicit cutting down of trees in the cold period of the year is the lack of financial resources for purchasing coal is invoked. Concerning the general ecologic state of the Nisporeni raion, inspector Lupu mentioned that the situation is not the best. Although authorities organise raids in order to verify the ecologic situation in the raion, as result of which numerous persons have been penalised, the things hardly change. According to Lupu, it seems like the people haven’t acknowledged yet how important is a good ecologic state for the health of everyone.
