The winter holidays in the municipality of Chisinau will be officially opened with a cultural-artistic program in the Great National Assembly Square at 5:30pm on December 1. The holiday lighting on the streets of Chisinau and on the main tree of the country will be turned also then, IPN reports.
A performance of music and dancing with pop and folk music singers and choreographic ensembles will be given in the central square of Chisinau starting at 5pm on December 25, when it is celebrated Christmas according to the Gregorian calendar.
From December 26 until January 14, performances with Santa Claus, fairytale characters and animators will be held near the Christmas tree. There will also be staged contests with presents for children.
The concert on New Year’s Eve will begin at 10pm. Fireworks will be displayed at midnight.
