In the Great National Assembly Square/PMAN, the Christmas Tree installation has started. In the coming days, the metal housing and branches will be installed and the tree will be decorated with ornaments and lighting, so that it is ready for inauguration on December 1st.
Asked by IPN, the head of the Association of green spaces management, Sergei Carp, has said that in a few days the metal housing will be fitted out, and then the actual tree will be installed and decorated with ornaments. Most of the ornaments will be globes from last year, while 30% will be new ones. Approximately 35 thousand lei were allocated for the purchases. The globes will be in silver and gold colors.
At the operative meeting on Monday, the mayor of the capital, Ion Ceban, has specified that this year there is a unique concept regarding the organization of the winter holidays, agreed on between the City Hall, the Government and the economic agents. According to the mayor, everything will be prepared in a timely manner, there will be one Christmas tree and many activities for children.
The Christmas tree from PMAN was offered last year to the city by a company that produces artificial Christmas trees. The construction is cone shaped and 20 meters high. The tree has an operating period of 7-8 years, after which it can be renewed, using the metal housing and changing the decorations.
