Chisinau's Reserve Fund enlarged by over 7 million lei

The Chisinau City Council decided at its Tuesday's meeting to enlarge the municipality's Reserve Fund by more than 7 million lei from revenues accumulated at the beginning of this year, Info-Prim Neo reports. The allocated funds will be partly used to offer assistance to the victims of the heavy rains on July 31. Earlier Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca informed that the damages caused by the rains on July 31 were estimated at over 2.2 million lei, The 2008 Reserve Fund was voted by the City Council to contain 15 million lei for unexpected expenses and emergencies, but was two-thirds depleted in the aftermath of this summer's flooding events, with 10.6 million lei being spent on disaster relief efforts and compensations.
