Chisinau’s Administration to ensure proper organization of “National Day of Wine”

Interim Mayor of Chisinau, Vasile Ursu issued an ordinance on the good organization of the “National Day of Wine”, as a result of a notification of the agro-industrial Agency “Moldova-Vin”. According to the order, the Department for Culture will ensure the set up of the stage in the Great Square of National Assembly. The General Department for Public Transportations and Communications will stop circulation of urban transport and will elaborate shifting schemes, and will settle special routes for October 7-8 on Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Bd. The General Police Office will ensure the maintenance of public order during the celebration. According to the order, several market stalls will be installed in the square. The control over the execution of the ordinance is the responsibility of the deputy mayor Petru Svet. The National Day of Wine is celebrated every year in the second Sunday of October. The first edition of the holyday was organized in 2002 and aims at promoting local wine production and developing tourism.
