Chisinau woman turns 101

One of the oldest inhabitants of Chisinau, Ganna Cravet, celebrated her 101st birthday on November 23. On this occasion, officials from the City Hall congratulated her and handed her flowers. She also received 5,000 lei in financial aid.
Ganna Cravet lives in Centru District of the capital city. She has two children, a son and a daughter, both of them already pensioners. The family also includes 2 granddaughters, 3 great grandchildren and a great-great grandson. Ganna Cravet’s husband deceased in 1977.
There are seven more people older than 100 years in Chisinau. The oldest resident of the city, Nina Vadritkaia, turned 103 on September 21.
