Chisinau woman hurt in hit-and-run

A Chisinau woman, 51, was hit Tuesday morning by a minibus on route 175. The driver fled the scene. Emergency doctor-coordinator Ludmila Untura told Info-Prim Neo that the accident occurred at around 8:30am on Burebista Street in Botanica district. A minibus on route 175 struck the woman who fell on the carriageway. The driver didn’t even slow down to see what had happened. Fortunately, a cabbie parked nearby managed to see the tags on the running away minibus. The witness called the ambulance which drove the victim to the Emergency Hospital for head trauma treatment. The doctors on the ambulance also suspected a broken thighbone.
