Chisinau aims to legalize the right of the residents of the Transnistrian region to own their homes. Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration Vasili Șova told a press conference that a draft law for this purpose will be developed.
The deputy Prime Minister mentioned that it is a first step in ensuring the rights and freedoms of the people of the region, including the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, whose number reaches 330,000, according to the Public Services Agency.
Vasili Șova communicated, on a different note, that the activity of the working groups established within the confidence-building measures will be restored as soon as possible. The composition of some groups has been changed. Also, a new working group will be set up to build confidence in the military field. According to the deputy Prime Minister, its creation aims to ensure stability in the security area.
The authorities also intend to renew the mechanism of internal consultations between the branches of government: the President’s Office, the Government and Parliament in order to establish the internal priorities regarding the Transnistrian settlement.
