The Moldovan authorities are ready to pay the rent and public utilities of the Moldovan-administered Latin-script schools in Transnistria. The issue was discussed in the joint meeting of the working groups for education on behalf of Chisinau and Tiraspol, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Education, the sides agreed to organize joint inspections at these schools in the near future so as to see how they obey the sanitary-hygienic and anti-fire norms. They also discussed the possibility of paying a common visit to education institutions in Tiraspol.
Another topic discussed was the certificates issued by the education institutions controlled by Tiraspol. The Moldovan side suggested creating a common working group of experts on areas of professional formation, which will analyze the education programs of the higher education establishments from both banks of the Nistru.
