Four films will be screened as part of the Japanese Film Festival that will take place at the Odeon Cinema in Chisinau during November 9-12. Entrance is free of charge, IPN reports.
The festival starts on November 9 at 6pm with the showing of the film “Bento Harassment”. The film is about the connection between a mother and her daughter ensured through the agency of the daily food parcel (bento).
On November 10 at 6pm, there will be shown the film “The Takatsu River”, which is about the people’s struggle for keeping traditions in a sparsely populated region.
On November 11 at 6pm, moviegoers can see the film “Finding Calico”.
The festival ends with the screening of “Mentai Piriri” on November 12 at 3pm. The film is about a family and their small business during the period of reconstruction after the war.
The Japanese films will be subtitled in Romanian.
