Students from 15 states will present the culture of their countries of origin within the International Festival of Language and Culture that will be held in Moldova for the first time this year. According to the organizers, the event is aimed at promoting the research and studying and the exchange of information in support of peace, friendship and understanding.

Contacted by IPN, one of the event’s organizers Aliona Bolfosu said the festival is an example of performance that lays stress on the diversity of linguistic talents all over the world. Thus, students from Albania, Georgia, Germany, Romania, Russia and other states will stage performances of traditional dances and songs within the festival. This way, the participants will become familiarized with the national culture of other countries.

By this event, the students, in concert with the spectators and local community, are also encouraged to take part in social, cultural and educational activities. The organizers consider this will contribute to establishing close ties of durable friendship and to maintaining peace all over the world.

The delegations from abroad already arrived in Chisinau. The participants in the festival – students and their teachers – can visit sights in Moldova during these days.

The festival will take place at the National Palace “Nicolae Sulac” on March 26, staring at 4pm. The event is organized by the Administration of the International Festival of Language and Culture in concert with the private Theoretical Lyceum “Orizont”.
