Chisinau to host first Moldovan-Romanian forum on justice

Representatives of the main institutions of the justice sector and of civil society of Moldova and Romania will take part in a forum entitled “Justice sector reform and fight against corruption in the European perspective” that will take place on November 10-11. The first forum of the kind aims to become the main communication platform in justice and to contribute to developing bilateral cooperation in the field.

Deputy Minister of Justice Eduard Serbenko has told IPN that the event is the largest dialogue platform in the field initiated so far. It involves representatives of all the justice sector institutions and of civil society from both banks of the Prut. “We are enthusiastic as the concerted efforts of the partners ultimately lead to fruitful exchange of expertise and goods practices in the Republic of Moldova and Romania,” stated Eduard Serbenko.

The forum’s objective is to support the European course and justice of Moldova by continuing reforms in the given sector and the fight against corruption. The event will be opened by the Minister of Justice of Moldova Moldova Vladimir Cebotari, his Romanian counterpart Raluca-Alexandra Pruna, Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu and Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Daniel Ionita at 8:30am on November 10.
