A meeting of Cluster I “Economic dialogue, management of public finances, statistics, financial services, control and anti-fraud provisions”, of the Moldova – EU Sub-Committee on Economic, Social and Sector Aspects, will take place in Chisinau next week. The issue was discussed in the June 15 meeting of the governmental commission for European integration, chaired by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, IPN reports.
According to the executive’s press office, the responsible institutions, including the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance, reported on the preparedness level of the Moldovan authorities for this meeting in the context of the efforts made to restore the confidence of the people and the development partners of Moldova.
There were also examined the results of the meeting of the joint Moldova – EU Committee, instituted in accordance with the Common Aviation Area Agreement, which took place in Brussels on June 8-9. The governmental commission analyzed the reports presented by the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure and the Civil Aviation Authority and the measures that were taken to carry out the priority reform action roadmap and those that are yet overdue.
The Premier reminded that July 31 is the deadline by which the priority reform action roadmap must be implemented. He noted that the officials in charge who will not carry out their duties will be penalized. Pavel Filip warned that the roadmap must be put into practice in parallel with the national plan for implementing the Moldova - EU Association Agreement and asked the competent authorities to strictly monitor this process.
