A troupe of amateur actors of the local council of children and young people put on a play entitled “Your life counts” for teenagers from Chisinau, urging them thus to communicate their feelings to their mates so as to easier overcome particular situations. These started to present the play in Rascani district and will then travel to all the districts of Chisinau.
Head of the Teenagers Center of the Chisinau General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Valentina Sandu has told IPN that the project was conceived as a platform for communicating with teenager spectators. The young actors have discussions with the spectators about the priorities in life. Even if sometimes the audience is not very receptive, the people anyway discuss the addressed issues after the performance.
Valentina Sandu noted that the teens often tend to isolate themselves and do not communicate their feelings to the grownups, but can do it easier in the discussions with their mates. By this project, the teenagers are urged to seek help from the teens who possibly went thorough similar situations and can offer them support.
The head of the Center also said that the theater troupe does not consist of professional artists, but the young people make effort to perform well and have a lot of rehearsals. The play is put on in halls that bring together teens from five-six schools.
