A twelfth grader of “Petru Zadnipru” Lyceum in Chisinau is suspected of contracting tuberculosis. Only several days ago, it was reported that children attending a kindergarten in Donduseni district became infected with TB. The principal of “Petru Zadnipru” Lyceum Eugenia Andritski has told Info-Prim Neo that she discussed with the girl’s parents and found out that she was hospitalized. The parents have not yet received official confirmation of the diagnosis. They deny that their daughter has tuberculosis. The medical examinations continue. During the pre-Baccalaureate period, the student had fever. She was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia, but before the holidays was transferred to another division. The girl has not attended classes since early April. As many as 37 children of a kindergarten in Donduseni district got infected with tuberculosis after they had been in contact with an educator who has TB. This February, 17 students of a boarding school situated in Crihana Veche, Cahul, have been diagnosed with tuberculosis. They contracted the disease from a schoolmate who wasn’t examined by the institution’s doctor in time.
